Glass Blowing Classes NJ

Are you look for glass blowing classes in NJ? Well then you’ve come to the right place.

Glass blowing classes have become increasingly popular in recent years, with more and more people discovering the joys of this ancient art form. In New Jersey, there are a number of studios offering classes in glass blowing, but none quite like The Fusing Shop.

Located in the heart of downtown Highland Park NJ, The Fusing Shop studio is a haven for those looking to learn the craft of lampworking, which is a type of glass blowing that involves using a torch to melt and manipulate glass rods and tubes into various shapes and designs. Each class is led by an experienced instructor who provides hands-on guidance and instruction, ensuring that every student leaves with a newfound appreciation for glass art.

Sim, our head instructor, has been practicing lampworking for over five years and has learned from master glass artists that have shaped his technique and teaching style. Sim has designed his classes to be both informative and engaging, with a focus on helping students develop their own unique style and technique.

One of the things that sets The Fusing Shop apart from others in New Jersey is the hands on experience that you get. Whether you’re a beginner just starting out, or an experienced glass blower looking to refine your skills, we have a class that’s right for you. From basic bead making to advanced sculpting techniques, our classes cover a wide range of topics and skill levels.

Beginner Glass Art Class

These classes cover the basics of glass blowing, including safety tips, equipment overview, and the fundamental techniques needed to create your first piece. We also provide all of the necessary tools and materials, so all you need to bring is your creativity.

Intermediate Glass Art Skills

Once you’ve mastered the basics, our intermediate classes are designed to help you take your skills to the next level. These classes cover more advanced techniques, such as shaping and sculpting, and provide plenty of opportunities for experimentation and exploration. And for those looking to take their craft even further, we offer advanced classes that cover everything from complex sculpting techniques to glassblowing lathe techniques.

Private Glass Studio

The Fusing Shop is a family owned and run business. Our humble shop is our garage that we've turned into a full glass studio. We offer a full hands-on experience to blow glass with your own two hands. Your stress will be melted away as you watch the flame turn the glass into a molten, moving substance that seems almost alive. Like magic happening before your eyes. Lampworking is amazing fun for you and your friends and family.

All of our classes in Jersey are private so you have the studio to yourself. This gives our teachers the ability to work directly with you so you can focus on being creative and crafting your masterpiece.
